About me

I design products that deliver measurable human-centered and business results. I’m good at bringing teams together around complex problems, helping to shape strategy, and using critical thinking to see through inefficient processes. Values that guide both my life and work work are:

Do it right

I get obsessive about most things I do (work or hobby). It drives people in my life a bit mad (especially when they catch me weighing coffee beans).

Ask “Why?” Often

I’m a critical thinker who likes to challenge the status quo. I ask “why?” often - to unpack complexity and question assumptions.

Be inclusive

I speak with a stammer, which has driven a focus on accessible design. At work I run a Just Eat STEM mentoring stream matching young people with mentors.

Be chilled, have fun

I don’t enjoy very serious, formal conversations. There’s always room for a laugh and I love people who don’t take themselves too seriously.

Outside work, I spend most of my time with my lovely wife and our three energetic kids. We live in Tottenham which, as a lifelong Arsenal fan, has its moments, but we love it.

In a previous life, I was a keen traveller, spending over two years on the road between the ages of 19 and 26, and met my wife while we were both working on a farm in Australia.

Food is a big part of my life. I love cooking, hosting, and going deep on new interests. Lately that has meant home espresso and learning far more about coffee than necessary. I’m also a beer fan and, as a coeliac, have a soft spot for places that serve good gluten-free options.

In another previous life, I worked as a painter and decorator, which left me with a lasting love of DIY. I still find huge satisfaction in fixing things and making something tangible with my hands. It’s a great antidote to long hours spent in front of a screen.
